Air Liquide signs a new long-term contract in the semiconductor industry with BOE in China

Air Liquide has signed a long-term contract to provide industrial gases, notably nitrogen, to BOE Technology Group Co., Ltd. (BOE), an IoT company, in support of its new project in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. Air Liquide will invest to build, own and operate new production units and supply systems for the customer’s next-generation production line. 


The new site will house a nitrogen production facility with a capacity of 25,000Nm3/h and supply systems of oxygen, argon, hydrogen and carbon dioxide. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for early 2025. These gases will be used for BOE’s 6th generation production line of new semiconductor display device, illustrating their significance for the production of cutting-edge display technologies like Virtual Reality and Mini LED. 

Confirming Air Liquide’s position as the leading supplier of industrial gases for the electronics industry in Asia, this new contract further strengthens the partnership between the two companies, which goes back to 2004. In line with Air Liquide’s strategic proximity to its customers in the electronics sector, Air Liquide currently serves several BOE fabrication plants across various cities in China.
