Air Liquide fully supports its electronics customers in corporate social responsibility initiatives
The electronics operations of Air Liquide, serving more than 300 fabs worldwide, commit to support to the Code of Conduct of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) formed by its customers.
The RBA is composed of the world’s electronic leading companies, working together to improve social, ethical and environmental responsibility in the global electronics supply chain. As a non-chip manufacturer, Air Liquide is not eligible to apply for RBA membership. However, as the RBA is regarded as a supply chain initiative, its members require their first-tier suppliers to support and apply the principles set out in the Code of the RBA Code.
The RBA Code of Conduct establishes standards to ensure that working conditions in the electronics industry supply chain are safe, that workers are treated with respect and dignity, and that business operations are environmentally responsible and conducted ethically. Thanks to the Group existing Corporate Social Responsibility commitment and certifications (ISO 14001 and new ISO 45001 standards regarding Environment, Health and Safety), the Electronics operations are going to commit to support to the RBA Code of Conduct. Air Liquide develops a set of audits with its customers to allow best-in-class reviews of its electronics operations. This will help them reach their goal of upgrading their status within the Alliance, as we constantly share our customer’s ambitions.
The commitment to support to the RBA Code demonstrates Air Liquide willingness to be a sustainable business partner and shall be considered as a milestone for continuing doing business with electronic chips manufacturers.
